This organ was built in 1895 by the Shipman Organ Co. in High Point, North Carolina.
Family tradition relates it was given to Zettie Robbins by her father. After marrying Bruce Sherer of the Blairsville community, Zettie became the organist for Sharon Associate Reformed Presbyterian Church.
Zettie, it was said, had one of the more beautiful alto voices in Western York County. During laying-by time in August, she participated in the Hopewell singing school that ran for a week every year.
Zettie's daughter, Dorothy, learned to play on this organ and in her later years was organist for the Sharon A.R.P. Church until her death.
